James Holland, Robert Lyman
Thursday 27th June 14:00 (60 Min)

Eighty years ago this year, the Indian Fourteenth Army fought its largest battle up to that point against the Imperial Japanese. Its commander, General Bill Slim, lured the enemy into a trap – but one that had many moving parts and was fraught with calculated risk. What followed was a four-month battle that raged through north-east India. As Rob Lyman, distinguished military historian, and James Holland show, it was a battle with as much drama, twists and turns as any fought by the Allies in the entire Second World War.
