5. BUST? SAVING THE ECONOMY, DEMOCRACY AND OUR SANITY
Fred Casella, Robert Peston
Monday 24th June 17:45 (60 Min)
Hiscox Tent
Unfortunately, due to commitments surrounding the general election, Robert Peston will no longer be able to join us in person at the festival. Instead, he and Fred Casella have pre-recorded their discussion and this will be shown on the large video screens.

In his new book, Robert Peston, one of the most respected political and financial commentators of our time, argues that Britain is almost bust - economically, politically and socially. The economy is flatlining, society is fracturing, parliament is unfit for purpose, and the state is failing. In conversation with award-winning documentary director and producer Fred Casella, Robert will argue that it's time to abandon pessimism and fatalism and look for answers. He might not have all the solutions, but he will start an important debate that will allow us all to hope again.
